Pastor Mwesigwa Joel Tonny is the dedicated director of BDI. Joel has done incredible things for the deaf in Uganda. Because of him some of the many deaf children in Uganda are now attending school; they get a language – they get a life and a future. You can read Joel’s testimony right here.Namugabo Agnes (Aggie) is Head Teacher at BDI’s school for deaf. Aggie has been with BDI since the beginning of 2009. Aggie loves the children and she is doing an amazing job running the school and teaching the deaf children.
Mukisa Ivan has been with BDI since 2010. Besides being a teacher Ivan is BDI’s ”action man”. Ivan is straightforward and knows how to solve problems quickly. Ivan is also involved in many of BDI’s organizational things. Ivan is like a father for many of the students, and he is always good for a smile and a laugh.
Vickie Mølgaard-Madsen is from Denmark and has been connected to BDI since her first stay as a volunteer in 2013. Vickie has stayed with BDI four times and has spent a total of one year working on ground with BDI. Vickie is handling many administrative, financial and organizational things for BDI and she takes care of most of BDI’s communication with sponsors and partners. Vickie is helping volunteers plans their stay as well. Vickie is also representing BDI in Europe.
Kris Detrow is from Maryland in America. Kris has been connected to BDI since 2013. Kris has been visiting BDI several times and is officially representing BDI in America. Kris is besides representing BDI in our partner organzation Deaf Child Hope International.
